Hi, I’m Connor

Welcome to my personal space of curated thoughts, memories, and connections towards music and videogames that have left an impact on my life. Writing has always been a passion of mine (songs too!), but over the past few years I’ve let it fall to the wayside as I’ve strayed from posting on social media and got entangled in my day job.

In 2014, I worked as an intern writing for (the now defunct) DCMD. They were a website catered strictly to the D.C. metropolitan area sharing new songs, interviews, upcoming shows, and concert reviews. A part of me misses it. But the other part of me asks “what if you could write about whatever you want?” No genre restriction. No geographic restriction. No prompts. No editor. Full control.

So I created Record Review. Through it I will share short critique, favorite tracks, art direction, and memories of albums in my vinyl collection. I hope it serves as a way for others to recollect on music they already love or as an avenue to discover something new. I love sharing recommendations as much as I love receiving them.

Additionally, I’m also happy to share my Game Portfolio. I’ve been in love with games just as long as I have been with music. Within the portfolio I hope to share what I am currently playing as well as favorites from the archive. Videogames are an art and story form that nothing else quite attains to.
